Fences and Gardens

It's been quite a while since I've had a chance to post.  Other priorities, but we're still doing well and working hard.  Earlier this summer (end of May) we planted a vegetable garden and a flower bed to begin beautifying our backyard.  We're trying to eat healthy and affordable.  It's been hard work, but some vegetable plants are flourishing now and the flowers are beautiful in bloom.  Though we did have some flops and a hungry deer visited our garden and ate some of our plants, but we learned from it, and have since "deer proofed" it.  (I need to take an updated photo).  Here is a photo when we first planted a few months ago.

Joseph has been working up a sweat putting up a fence.  He really is loving country life.  I have started calling him "Farmer Joe."  :-)  I never knew how hard putting up a fence was.  I've been helping him as much as I can though I can only help so much.  It's heavy-duty big muscle stuff.  :-)  If not anything else; at least I'm his biggest cheerleader and "water nurse" making sure he stays hydrated.  (Below you can see the garden covered though I still need to take and post an updated pic of how the garden looks now as well as the fence.  The garden is my project.)
